Review of Kodak digital frames: SV 1011 versus EX1011.
First off, the Kodak digital frame picture quality is excellent! And for me, that is most important. Pictures look sharp and contrasty from almost all viewing angles. The 2 main frames are the SV and the EX series. The SV does not have wifi, the EX series have all qualities of the SV and do have Wifi.
You can view pictures on a memory card.
You can view pictures on your computer.
The web based EasyShare gallery works well. (Wifi based, EX)
You can go to the Kodak web site and download a firmware update for a better resolution.
You will have to look in the manual at least once to figure out what the icons on the remote control are all about. The menus are a bit complicated, but once you gott the hang of them, they are good.
A lot is done with the remote control, so do not lose it!
It is better suited for windows than for a mac.
Overall conclusion: It is a good digital picture frame, it does more than I expected. For the little difference in price I would go for the EX with the Wifi above the SV series. Clarity and picture image is good. My friends really like seeing my travel slideshows. So instead of dozens of frames there is only one rotating slideshow, even with music!
